Founded in 2012 by Tom Micklethwait, Micklethwait Barbecue is a pioneer of Texas craft barbecue. Ranked as a "Top Ten BBQ Joint in Texas" by Texas Monthly in 2017 and recognized as a "Top 50 BBQ Joint" in 2021, Micklethwait has grown from a DIY trailer in an East Austin parking lot to a name synonymous with top-tier Texas barbecue.
