Metropolitan Market Tacoma

First time going to grab some Lamb chops by the rack and met Brian the butcher & chef amazing customer service so nice helped me with my seasoning and just went above and beyond I’ll be back for sure thanks Brian

This store is a work of art. Everything is so clean and organized -inside and outside. The vegetable section is so bright and colorful. I came here to try their hot soups and was pleasantly surprised by the variety. I've decided to try Cioppino (Italian-American fisherman's stew) and Chicken Coconut Curry. They also have clam chowder, vegetable soup, mediterranean chicken and rice soup, and others. Cioppino was great- the flavors of tomatoes and seafood were the most dominant. Chicken Coconut Curry was good too, very creamy. I also noticed that they have a bakery section with interesting pastries which I can't wait to try next time.

awesome space, and while being generally more expensive, their hot-bars, olive bar, salad bar, bakery, cheese area, sushi, and hot food is delicious and they have an interesting variety of other foods in the aisles. It can get busy but lines move quickly, especially the self checkout. There's a sitting/eating area with stools and tables with screen windows that open/close depending on the weather along with wifi that you can connect to for an hour a day. Complimentary napkins, utencils, water, and a microwave. In the hotter months they set up outdoor patio seating that is a whole vibe. There are two electic carts for physically challenged people. There's bike racks to park your bicycles and also a dog area to leash your pooch with complimentary water bowl for peace of mind as you peruse the store. I go here often to draw or study in the evenings when it is less busy.

The staff here is wonderful. Always helpful and very kind.
