Great Place, Staff are polite and food was delicious. Vegetarian options: There are many vegetarian options for different foods.

My self and daughter have both lost our husbands in the lasts 5 months We have visited the mermaid several times for the lovely food. It’s nutritious and healthy and good value Neither of us can be bothered to cook at home so it’s nice to have a healthy cooked meal without breaking the bank. Happy to say mum's 80th birthday was lovely and the staff were fantastic, thank you for the memories we will have of this day.

This pub wasn't particularly busy but seemed so due to there only being a few staff in residence. There was a very limited and unimaginative choice of vegetarian meals, but ok if you like pasta, pastry encasing cauliflower cheese, a poorly filled mushroom wellington or mushy vegetarian sausages... The carvery ran out of roast potatoes and various vegetables but this could've been due to the staffing issue. General decor and cleanliness in the seating areas was poor and toilet facilities looked like they needed a good scrub. The pub was tired looking and looked overdue for a refurbishment.

Stayed 2 nights, eating in. As with our previous stays, everything re service, menus, value, cleanliness, comfort etc was top drawer. A truly friendly & helpful staff was the most appreciated aspect, more & more of a rarity these days it seems.

Weekday afternoon, quiet and affordable tasty food! They do blue light card 20% discount on weekdays. Their wings with hot maple sauce and chips taste perfect! Its also pram friendly on a weekday. I’d rather go here to meet a friend than cafes in town (as they are very small and close early).

Bar staff dismissive, not friendly. Food portion pathetic, the soup barely 4 spoons of it - it was tasty though. The wings were cold with small serving of sauce. The chips arrived cold. I have previously enjoyed the food here and was very disappointed.
