Deli Family History My Name Is Melanie Fernandez, Born and raised in New York where my Great Uncle owned Salcounie Deli since 1976 in the Bronx. Since then, he has opened up several deli's throughout New York making him the talk of the neighborhoods throughout and the Best Kept Secret in The City! Mellie’s New York Deli & Eatery brings a distinct New York Neighborhood Deli experience here to our hometown of Bradenton. We could not be more excited to bring The Real Thing! Growing up working alongside my Uncle in his delis in the Bronx, I knew nothing other than the real taste and smells of fresh New York Bagels, Heroes and perfectly stuffed sandwiches made with New York Products by New York People.
