Meijer

Meijer's is okay. I just wish they would open more cashier check outs. I don't like self serve at all.

Recently started using the pharmacy services due to change in my insurance. Not as impressed as previous pharmacy at Kroger.

I shopped here last week, and it was a good experience. I'd never been to this Meijer before, and the layout was similar but it did take me a few minutes to locate what I needed. It's a larger store than the one I usually shop at, cleaner, and a bit more spacious. The self checkout employee was great--I had picked up the wrong kind of tuna, and she deleted them off and I scanned in the right ones. She checked in with me to make sure I got what I wanted. I shopped here because I was in Lapeer for a flea market, and I'm glad I did!

Great place to shop

This is probably the best meijers in michigan or at least that I have been to. It is big, clean, and well organized. It is easy to find what you are looking for, but I am taking a star away from a perfect score for slowly taking away employees' benefits and privileges. Employee moral seems to be high, though, even still. Prices are on par with the great evil Wal-Mart. They also have a gas station in the parking lot. I would take a star away for not being an independently owned business, but that wouldn't be fair.

A warning for anyone who wants to work at Meijer lapeer! I was hired for bakery midnights I maintained a level 4 my entire time there (best) ! Everything was OK until the new store manager came in and cut hours it's supposed to be a union place so my cuts were drastic 30 hours to10 they only pay $12.90 a travesty anyway !! I was asked once if i could go to days..for more hours, I can't because I can't afford daycare which is why i specifically got a night job...after 91 days there (and with the store still hiring for night positions ) they refused to transfer me, they called me at home and fired me for not accepting a day shift. I contacted the union ( paid over $100 of my low pay to them over the 91 days) they agreed I was past 90 days. However when they contacted the store and corporate they were ignored got the silent treatment, the HR at the store then tried to backdate the termination I worked past the date they picked ( I have receipts) but the union folded like a cheap suit.....big picture is don't trust them they're inept across the board managers and union leaders. You can do better!

Always clean, helpful staff, main items in stock, new self scans are very nice. Wish they still stocked some items that they did prior to the pandemic. As much as I like self checkout and scan & go, I still feel they need more than a single traditional checkout open during the day. If doing more than "fill in shopping" it isn't easy to self check.
