McGillin's Olde Ale House is the oldest continuously operating tavern in Philadelphia and one of the oldest in the country. It has 30 beers on tap and is known for its large selection of regional microbrews, seasonal cocktails, reasonably priced comfort food including a free bowl of soup with every lunch and friendly atmosphere. The historic tavern is located in Midtown Village near Philadelphia's Pennsylvania Convention Center and hotels. It opened in 1860, the year Lincoln was elected and there's a reason it's lasted more than 150 years!
