United and inspired by their deep love of dim sum, Angie Hsu and Josh Wong are hosting DIM SUM DINNER on Saturday, March 15, 6:30-8 pm. Dim sum/yum cha/点心 is the traditional Chinese style of eating small shared plates of dumplings and other snacks, originating in Guangdong tea houses in the 19th century. We are honored to be hosting this six course fully vegan meal at the Emporium, where Kurt Miyazaki will also be selecting four wines (including soju and sake) to pair with the menu. This is truly a passion project for us all, given how difficult it is to get dim sum in this part of Ohio....let alone vegan! Also known as yum cha (literally "drink tea"), the Cantonese/Mandarin translation of dim sum/dian xin is "touch the heart," a poetic name for a warm, lively meal of small dishes shared with family and friends.NOTES:-You do not need to pick up tickets at MAZU. Once you are registered, we'll see you at the Emporium on the 15th!-Single glasses of wine/soju/sake will also be available, but please indicate now if you would like the complete four pairings.
