Maya Congee Cafe

We're open daily at Gates Ave. See hours. We're a passion project, focused on food and personal growth. We serve asian influenced foods and sell things that may or may not be familiar. Come visit at your own accord, not because of someone else's review or based on traditional beliefs of what food should be. We're here to break all the rules and strive for what works for us today. The shop is solely owned by Layla Chen, female, she/her, first gen immigrant Chinese American from Guangzhou, China, fluent in Cantonese, living in the Bed-Stuy neighborhood of Brooklyn for over 10years. She has also lived in Honolulu for 20 years. Maya, the namesake child, is currently 7years old. She is half Chinese and half Caribbean descent. Hope to see you!
