On Charleston’s vibrant Upper King Street, Maya brought an elevated take on Mexican cuisine from its authentic Al Pastor and Birria tacos to the richly flavored Albondigas and Chile Relleno. The menu was a celebration of Mexico’s diverse regional traditions and bold flavors inspired by classic techniques and coastal influences. After three memorable years of serving locals and visitors Maya closed its doors in December 2024. What began as inspiration from team travels, Maya aspired to transport guests through the cuisine and culture of Mexico.
