We have been here many times. Always dining at the bar. Steaks are fantastic. Cool bar. Service is always good, but they're extremely busy every night; almost chaotic. Live music in the bar area. Valet parking only.
This is a high-end special occasion restaurant (IMO). The food & service are excellent. However, on my last visit, the live music (piano musician) was so loud, it made conversation difficult. In addition, the lighting was lower than in past visits. This restaurant compares with The Cellar.
By far, the best restaurant in America. Menu and food are unmatched and at a level that others wish they could achieve.
If I can give this place 0 stars I would and let me explain why. My first red flag was they gave me a table that was wobbly couldn’t even enjoy cutting my steak without my table being all wobbly. Second our waiter was just flat out rude. took forever to get our food ordered and then after that waiter decided to spill my drink on my long sleeve and on the table and just gave a “I’m sorry” and moved on. On top of that our waiter grabbed our drink and didn’t even ask if we were done with it knowing that we still had more to pour on my martini. He took it and god knows where it went after that. Food was good, first time coming to this place but after the experience with my waiter I don’t know If I would be coming back.
The dry aged bone in ribeye was really good. The Crab fried rice was an excellent side dish as well. The butter cake dessert is a must have. This is a really nice restaurant that is perfect for a quiet dinner date or business dinner. I would absolutely return.
Great Service and Fantastic food. Who could want anything more.
We went on a date night on a Saturday. The service was good, but while we were there, they had plumber's working on a broken pipe, and it stunk so bad in the waiting area. You could also hear them working. It really took away from the experience and what we expected at Mastro's. Still paid 400 dollars, no discount was offered or anything. It makes me feel that Beverly Hill location is just better.
