    • Famous Mushroom Soup

      Blend. This soup was inspired by my grandmother who virtually invented her version after having a similar soup as a child and then later being influenced by the great restaurant in the plaza athenee in Paris. The restaurant was on the ave montaigne, number 25, and Marlene lived at number 12. One of her tricks was to use simple button mushrooms rather than those with a stronger flavor. This is an adaption of that recipe with adjustments for American ingredients. Comes with dill as a garnish. Add croutons for extra crunch. Button mushrooms, chicken stock/broth, butter, wheat flour (rue), yellow onions, fresh dill, dry white wine, garlic, sea salt, freshly ground black pepper.

      Gluten free. Blended. This soup is all about the flavor combination of honey glazed ham and fresh peas. The absolute best ingredients make this a perfect soup. Inspired by my mother, when the family returned to America in the 70’s, our family came to know the famous bone-in baked ham with a honey glaze. While there were plenty of smoked meats in Europe, this American classic ham style was a thing of unique beauty. Seeing a perfect opportunity to utilize the leftovers and the large bone, she added fresh peas and created a sweet pea soup. The result is a very nutritious soup that is very sweet and hearty, and very kid friendly! We provide a garnish of honey ham pieces for extra richness. Sweet peas, yellow onion, butter, garlic, salt, baked ham, honey, spices, and fresh ham broth/stock.

This lentil soup is still a main course but won't leave you feeling bloated. The recipe is French/German and was a staple in my grandmother's kitchen.       Beef Tea Invented by the vast Jewish culture in Europe for centuries, this is not technically a soup, but a curative broth. For anyone run down by stress or illness (especially Chemotherapy) this broth gently but effectively restores a wide range of digestible vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants to the body. It is also used in cases when nausea is a problem as it is fully digestible. The “Broth” is rather bland but adding sea-salt, a little parsley and a small amount of finely ground pepper makes it delicious. Each cup is the equivalent of eating to 2-3 lbs. of high-quality steak without the fat or other heavy, indigestible ingredients or fiber. We serve it in Pint Containers, which is TWO portions. The Chef and founder, Dave Riva of Massy Soups is the Grandson of Marlene Dietrich. During his lifetime he has spent many hours with both her and his mother, Maria Riva learning the most important family tradition - cooking. Both Women were a huge influence on Dave, and he became a member of the Slow-food movement many years ago.
