First visit to Maranello and won’t be the last We were greeted warmly and promptly served warm and delicious food! Not pictured but our party also ordered a meatball sandwich (big hit with a 6yo) and a veal plate with side veggies. There are washrooms and extra seating area in the back of the restaurant. Parking is easy to find right in front and across the street from the cafe. Fresh & tasty food, quick & friendly service and reasonably priced. What more can one ask for?
Ordered the heart pasta. The alfredo sauce was lacking it was more scrambled eggs then sauce. I understand fresh sauce but the pasta was mainly coated in scrambled eggs. The pasta itself was way to salty. The soup was good but i would not recommend the heart pasta to anyone unfortunately.
Excellent food . And service ; I recommend
The veal sandwich was dry not good very disappointed 15 bucks never again
A family-owned and independent restaurant. The best kind! My husband and his brother met there today, Feb. 29th. I was there for a bit, too, then I left to meet an old friend. I came back to pick up my husband later. (He can't drive on his own right now for medical reasons). I ordered my own take-out lunch when I came back. This is a small place, but very clean. Clean bathrooms, too. Parking was easy out on the road. The guys said their lunches were delightful. I ordered the meatball sandwich as my take-out. I'm a very good home cook and have a strong sense of taste. Most often I find that I don't like the meals in most restaurants. I liked the food here! My sandwich had very tender and flavourful meatballs, a very nice "spice" sauce (light), melted mozz cheese, with cooked mushrooms, Bell peppers, and soft onions. A GENEROUS filling. Soft, fresh bun. I had only planned to eat half of it on the way home, but it was the bomb, and so, I ate it all. I shared 2 bites with the driver. He had eaten a lot before anyway! :) Amina and Vanessa are lovely and enthusiastic, but they were not intrusive while the guys visited. One or both are there all the time. We felt very welcomed. Amina's Italian grandmother opened the place 51 years ago. We live in Burlington, but we do plan to visit again and again. Thanks Amina and Vanessa! Helen and Ed K.
Decided to stop by this place as I heard they had Goodwill sandwiches. Small little cafe. Very good sandwiches, friendly stuff and service highly recommended
Our first time here although we’ve driven past many times. Located right on Lakeshore on the east side of Port Credit this is a little gem. When first entering the cafe it looks like a little sandwich shop, however when you continue back it has tables and a large counter with stools in the back. The menu has standard pastas, soups and salads plus hot or cold sandwiches. We all opted for the veal sandwich, which comes with your choice of toppings all for one price. The sandwich is giant, containing a generous breaded veal cutlet and homemade sauce. I topped mine with sautéed peppers, onions, mushrooms and cheese…plus a drizzle of Italian pepper sauce. The cafe sells a few additional Italian products and also has a catering menu. All made by Nonna. As it is a cafe it also sells the usual plethora of hot and cold drinks. We will return.
Food was amazing, it taste like Italy. The owners were so nice. It is a MUST!!!
