Lady who worked here on Sunday December 9th, 2023 at 3pm was extremely unwelcoming and rude. I came to the mall with my grandma and sister who brought her kids. My sister was next door ordering Chatime with her kids and my 94 year old grandma was getting tired from standing and walking around. There were no seats around anywhere except this mango dessert place. I walked in, bought a mango pudding just so she can sit down on their chairs inside the establishment. Lady kept asking if my grandma and I were together insinuating that if we weren't she should leave. Understandable. I told her we're together and she backed off. When I finished the pudding I got up and threw it out the garbage outside the establishment and spoke to my sister who was standing right outside. My grandma was still sitting there quietly and the same lady over the counter was yelling excuse me excuse me to her insinuating that she should leave now. Keep in mind, there were no other customers inside the store the entire time and we were in there for less than 10 minutes. At this point I got angry. I had just bought an almost $9 dollar average mango pudding which you can make with canned puree mangos for $1 at home, just for my grandma to sit. And I have a lady yapping over the counter asking her to leave every chance she gets knowing FULL WELL that we were together. What kind of a place doesn't even let a 94 year old person sit on a chair for a couple minutes EVEN when I bought something. THERE WERE NO OTHER CUSTOMERS. Unwelcomed, rude, overpriced, subpar, and absolutely ridiculous. Anyone who wants to come here for their pudding, don't. Canned mango puree, sugar, evaporated milk, agar agar/gelatin. Make it at home. Save your money.
My boyfriend has been talking about how he wanted to try this dessert place for quite some time, today took him to try some of the assorted custard mochi’s and it has turned out to be a let down. The filling was dry, and had a grainy and unpleasant texture taste. Also the mochi skin was yet to taste like the flavours mentioned on the label. Ex. Mango custard mochi did not taste like mango at all, it was plain. Not to mention the mochi itself did not live up to the expectations of the price.
Though I got to say their mango gelato was super good! If you do come here I definitely recommend the mango gelato!
Ordered a Mango smoothy. 5hought she would make it fresh. But it's all in the fridge. Wouldn't recommend. The better and cheap option is "Real Fruit"
When I received my order of chili chicken, I was horrified to learn that it had been microwaved in a cheap plastic container.
Food tasted amazing 10/10
Employees refuse to make menu items! Discovered this place during the summer and had the Mango Mochi Ice Cream. It's made to order and takes about 10 minutes to make. My husband and I very much enjoy it. We went back three times and each time the same employee said they ran out of mochi for the day. Finally this fourth time we pressed the employee to tell us when exactly is the best time to come in when they would have mochi. After expressing our displeasure she looked in the back and miraculously found some mochi and decided that she would take the time to make it. It’s clear that the times prior she could’ve made it as well. If the item is too time consuming to make for the single employee working then it should be removed from the menu. Until then, if a $16 dessert is on the menu the employees shouldn’t feel inconvenienced to serve it.
The mango drinks were good, nothing to brag about. The assorted mochi on the other hand tasted very artificial. The “custard” filling had a weird grainy texture and didn’t taste pleasant at all. My boyfriend and I tried a bite each and couldn’t bare to finish it. The mango desserts were only so-so, but not worth the price. Customer service was great tho aside the food!
