Had brunch at the Main Street bistro. Needless to say, the food was excellent. I had the eggs Benedict, my mother had the Sunrise Sammy. We had some delicious complementary mango mimosa. After in her binkery, To dieto cake house The staff was so friendly and accommodating. Owners Steve & Angie Rodriguez are delightful wholesome folks, shared plenty of laughs. If you're looking for something different, there is nothing like it in Harlingen, I highly recommend so tasty, amazing atmosphere. Creative cuisine • Great food • Best brunch •

Great tasting sandwiches, perfectly toasted sourdough bread, high quality ham and cheeses! The soup was homemade with white beans and vegetables. The unsweetened hibiscus tea was flavorful and refreshing. First time there, definitely we will return!

Our first time trying this place. It was a great little place with a nice upscale atmosphere. The food was really good. The service was great also. I can't wait to go back and try the pastries.

What a great spot! The food was amazing and the atmosphere was so warm and quaint. The Cobb was delicious, fresh and filling! Our group sampled the chocolate cake, pineapple cake, scone, potato chip cookies and bread pudding and they were all outstanding! You can’t go wrong! On top of it all, the staff and owners are welcoming, attentive and just great people!

Main Street Bistro is a must try. The portions are perfect for nice fulfilling home cooked lunch. There are few places down here I will order soup from and Main Street Bistro’s Zuppa Toscana is now one of them. Even in our blazing RGV heat it is a 1000% must try! 5/5, will now be a regular lunch stop!

The only thing good here was the server. He was attentive and made sure we were taken care of as best he could. The owner has a bad attitude and berated the server every chance he got. He would make “sarcastic” comments, trying to be funny, about the server but you could see that the server didn’t find anything funny. Our whole party felt uncomfortable whenever he opened his mouth. I ordered a sandwich meal, which came with the sandwich, a nasty soup, and a drink. Since I work in attics most of the day, I chose water as my drink to stay hydrated. When it was time to pay the owner charged me the sandwich and soup separately stating “you should’ve ordered the drink. It would’ve been cheaper”. Last time I checked water is a drink.

My first time visiting & I’ll surely be coming back. The food was AMAZING!! I had The Majestic (chicken salad sandwich) with a side of red potatoes, it was delicious!! Absolutely Loved the atmosphere. The owners & staff were super friendly. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience!!

Food is so so so GREAT! Best sandwiches made to perfection. The desserts don’t get me started but man those were the best desserts I have ever had. I had the pineapple dream cake so good and my husband the bread pudding. God bless the owners and their workers.

The owner thought my money was counterfeit….sandwich was good though.

My first time coming here with my wife with expectations a little low. I'm sorry for ever thinking that. It is a great place to eat and enjoy time with a nice friendly atmosphere!!!! The food was sensational the service was spectacular. The management we met was great, I like him and his wife they are sweet people. I don't know how other people might feel or why. However the first experience I had was nothing short of wonderful so whoever had issues maybe it's not the full story 🤷‍♂️ who knows. They are both sweet and funny me and my wife were very comfortable there. We plan to go back again and enjoy their delicious food and probably become regulars. My sister and I visited the restaurant for lunch today, first time, we were so impressed with everything they had to offer. The friendly staff, the atmosphere and menu items, especially the choices of sandwiches. Oh and the boutique, very tempting! We ordered the combo (choice of sandwich, side and drink) which was way plenty for one person. Price was fair. Just half of the sandwich got me full. In all the Deli choices we have in Harlingen this one by far was the BEST one! Thank you Steve and Angie for bringing your business to Harlingen! You will definitely see me and my sister again.

Delicious food, great service, and adorable atmosphere!

We frequent here often as our “go-to” place for breakfast, lunch type food to satisfy our cravings for something other than Mexican breakfast. We love that too, but here the panini's, the salads, the croque madame, the potato salad in particular is out of this world. All of the food we try is spot on as well as the service. We love supporting family owned and operated businesses and happy to keep coming again and again. Bring your family and friends you won’t be disappointed.

This is a really cute place. Remi nds me of a tea room. The service was excellent. We were here for lunch. We ordered sandwiches. That is all that came on the plate because we did not order the combo, which was soup. I thought they could have had a better presentation by adding chips or even a piece of fruit. The sandwich looked very lonely on the plate. (Trying to be helpful criticism) Overall, I would recommend this place.

We recently had a baby shower catered by the main bistro. The food was delivered and set up in a very friendly and professional manner. Everyone enjoyed the food and complimented how amazing and fresh everything tasted. I was so pleased with their service and would recommend them to anyone. NormaLinda Salazar

They say 1st impression is usually the right impression. I was appalled of the treatment my family received while trying to be seated at this restaurant. My Family had made reservations earlier in the week to celebrate a job well done at my nieces recital. The owner met us with attitude,his explosive demeanor is no way to run a business, and needless to say, we will not be coming back. His loud and callous approach to the issue was uncalled for. Either a mistake made by him or his staff is not our fault. From taking our reservation a week ago to when arriving for our reservation, he said that reservations are not allowed... We were going to make the situation work and lacked 1 chair, as my niece approached him to ask for an additional chair, that is when things took a turn, he raised his voice, puffed his chest and got within inches of 2 family members faces. His approach to the situation was completely out of left field. WE decided to leave. He escorted us out and attempted to lock the door behind us with total disregard of those in the restaurant. Everyone sitting at their tables were in awe of his behavior.

I never leave bad reviews but my first experience here was shocking. We had a reservation at noon and when we arrived the owner was getting upset at the waiter for not reserving our table appropriately. We were not upset and just waited. When we were sat we were one chair short and sat a two small square tables with already chairs squeezed close for our party of 10. I asked the owner for an extra chair and said I don’t know if we’re going to fit at that table. He exploded on me and got very close to me saying well what do you expect coming in at noon. I told him but we had a reservation we didn’t come as a walk in and this is not our fault. He proceeded to say well he can’t hold a table for us when he has customers already (grant you there was a table reserved with a reserve sign on it that was suppose to be one our tables so yes they do hold tables) there so I said then why did you take our reservation. He yelled in front of the small restaurant in front of everyone as we walked out. I was in shock and shaking as we left. I’ve never been treated like that. I can’t imagine what all the customers there thought as they witnessed the owner yell at us. He took out his frustration on the waiter then me and my family. There must be something bad going on in the owner's life for him to take out his anger on us.
