Los Cabos Mexican Restaurant

I was a fan of El Rancho, previously at this location, however Los Cobos is a definite step up. I've eaten there several times now with various friends and family. Everyone enjoyed their food, and the presentation and portions were good. The service is truly outstanding. Chips and individual dishes of salsa are delivered immediately upon being seated. The servers and other help staff are very friendly and attentive. If you are in the mood for Mexican food, Los Cobos is the place.

Quite possibly the best Mexican restaurant in Akron. Food taste, quality and value are probably the best I have ever experienced, and the service was fantastic. Everyone was fluent in Spanish and English.

Dining room is light, open and airy, place was impeccably clean. Food was tremendous, service was quick. Salsa and guacamole were in the top 5 of all we have experienced. Try the flight of Margaritas!

Much cleaner and brighter version of El Ranchero. AND the food was delicious!

My experience here was mixed, but overall i would say good. I had the Fajita Burrito and my dinner mate had the Baja Burrito. Both burritos were very good and filling. However, the Fajita Burrito was to come with melted cheese on top, but there was barely any on it. We also ordered the cheese dip, House margarita and Piña Colada. The cheese dip was excellent and served as a nice substitute for the cheese I was supposed to have with the Fajita Burrito. The drinks were fair with the House Margarita inching out the Piña Colada as far as quality. I thought the Piña Colada was not as viscous as other Mexican places, and not frozen/slushy enough. The atmosphere was the least desirable aspect of the visit for me. The lighting here is unecessarily bright and harsh. Bring your sunglasses lol Also, oddly, all the booths are gone leaving only tables. What's up with that?

Went for lunch on Weds feb 21. Walked in about noon. Went to the rr to wash my hands. The rr was reasonably clean but not great. Waste basket full of used paper towels, toilet paper on the floor. Had to be from previous day as there was a handful of people in the dining room. My server was a pleasant young guy named Juan Carlos. He brought chips and salsa and I ordered a small guacamole with some limes. The salsa was chunky, which I prefer. It had no heat and there were no bottles of hot sauce on the table. It was just ok. The guac had a strange almost artificial flavor. I didnt finish it, and I like to say that I never met guac that I didnt like. About then, the star of the show appeared, stuffed poblano peppers, which were stuffed with queso, baked, broiled to perfection, and just excellent. Served with the ubiquitous rice and beans. Because of the questionable restroom, the fresh but bland salsa, and the strange quac, I have to give 3 stars. I will go back again in the near future and if things have changed I will give another review

The staff was very attentive and the food was great, especially the birria tacos - delicious!!!

I ordered from them and got the worst food poisoning that I have ever had. I got the chipotle chicken and was so sick for two days I missed work. I called to make sure the manager knew what happened and he basically accused me of lying and said the owner would call me. Owner never called and unless you want to get sick I would avoid eating at Los Cabo’s.
