Just got home with my order. They failed to give us Cole slaw and the hush puppies! So half my food for both orders was missing! I called several times, no answer except hang up and call back! Who wants to drive back, I didn’t and will not be back!
Placed an order via Door Dash. Long John Silver's calls me, tells me they are out of the side I ordered (green beans) - I told them I could not eat any of their other sides due to dietary needs and could they replace it with something else. The Manager said no. I asked for them to refund the money. The Manger said he couldn't do it, that I had to call Door Dash. There are people that have dietary restrictions and if a business runs out of what they can eat, it's not the customer's fault, it's the business fault and they should exchange it for something within their diet. Restaurants do this ALL the time. I will never eat at another Long John Silver's - I understand that my not eating there will have no impact, but it's obvious they have no concern for people with dietary restrictions.
I have always liked Long John Silver's. It was my first job as a teenager in the 70's. I frequent the restaurant at least twice a month. The meal was fresh, hot and very good. The young man that took my order and helped in the drive-through was extremely nice and personable. I know things change over time, but that fish, with the Malt Vinegar and a dab of tarter sauce, certainly makes my taste buds happy.
The food and service were good. I had the fish and shrimp combo, food would've received a five but they were out of fries. Bench seats were VERY well worn. Felt like cushions should've been replaced years ago.
Place was just very dirty and nasty. Trash and food on floors. Countertops sticky and dirty. Everything was empty. My wife had to ask if they could give her ketchup because the bins were very dirty and sticky and the few ketchup packets they had were stuck to the bin. Food was burned and seems as it had been reheated and served to us. Everyone that was there working wasn't even doing much work. They're just on their phones and clearly there was a lot to be done. This place need a major make over and also better employees that care about their work environment.
I love fish which is the reason I can overlook problems. The workers were okay, but the place is run down and the owners don't do anything to renovate the place.
When i am craving fried fish ljs is a go to for that nostalgic flavor and crunch
Half of my order was missing. Made it all the way home before realizing. Picture shows it's am a&w also; it's not. Don't waste your money and go somewhere else. Looks like I'm not the only one recently to get stiffed here.
