Visited for the first time, while in the area from TEXAS. At first impression, it looks really small from the outside. I had a rice and chicken soup, coffee and some dessert and it was all very good. We would come back, since the female behind the counter was friendly and we felt welcomed.
I’m not sure it’s possible to fully enumerate all the wonderful elements of Leeward Market. This location is such a hub for community. Every time I come in, Michelle or Jeannie is having a deep, meaningful conversation with a regular (while taking orders and keeping the line moving, to boot). The place is teeming with local presence—there are books by local authors and pastries by local bakers all on display; it feels like a real salmagundi of Eastport. And I myself have been the beneficiary of Leeward Market’s support of local businesses; Michelle kindly allows me to keep cards for my pet care business near the dog treat station. I’ve never felt rushed or unwelcome here, even though it can get quite hectic during morning and lunch rushes. And the food is always plated thoughtfully and thoroughly scrumptious! My favorites are the spinach salad and house bagel chips. It’s a real gem of a spot, a beloved emblem of Eastport. I highly recommend anyone stop by if you want to feel warmly welcomed and fully satiated.
Always have to grab a bite here when I visit town. The staff is always so kind and has time to chat. My food is always done so fast and is delicious every time! Very reasonable prices with a great selection. A real gem of Eastport. :)
Super friendly staff, told us all the best places to go while in East Port. Food was good too.
Great food, friendly staff, hospitable atmosphere
Good food and a quick walk-up for a dozen of farm fresh eggs.
