Le Petit Paris

I used to go to this place all the time, but the recent drop in quality makes me never want to go back. For reference, I lived in France. I know what a good baguette tastes and feels like. I know what a sourdough boule should taste and feel like. Their baguettes have gotten smaller, denser, and the price has gone up. The croissants are smaller and cost more. I get that prices rise, but they've sacrificed quality. Today I got two loaves of sourdough that were completely inedible. Too dense inside, zero sourdough flavor, awful aftertaste. I brought them back, explained the issue to them politely in French but they refused to reimburse me or offer any consolation other than "it's the same recipe." I've bought it before. I know it's different and I know it doesn't taste good. Apparently they wanted their $11 more than my continued patronage. I'm never going here again. Bad bread is one thing, but bad service is the nail in the coffin.
