Located in the heart of Berkeley’s Elmwood community, La Méditeranée has been a family and local favorite for generations of diners. Since 1982, our award winning Middle Eastern and Mediterranean dishes, such as meza plates, hummos, kebabs, and fillos, are made from scratch daily. Founder Levon Der Bedrossian and his cousin Garbis opened “Cafe La Med” with the goal of serving good food in a pleasant environment, with warm and friendly service. Our Mid-East and Mediterranean cuisine is inspired by chef Levon’s Armenian and Lebanese family recipes.
