La Fia Bistro

Food is amazing and not pretentious. Never had a bad meal there (and I have been there a lot). Drinks are really good especially when Amy is making them. Best old fashioned I’ve ever had.

I came here with my party of 5 on a Saturday night, and this was the first visit for all of my guests and myself. We had the latest reservation time of 9:15pm and were also running a few minutes late. To my surprise, we were not rushed at all for our order. The waitress Natasha was very kind, efficient, and attentive. For appetizers we ordered the gem salad, master board, octopus, and roasted maitake mushrooms. Another waitress or food runner took the time to break down all the cheeses, meats, and other items on the master board when delivered which I really appreciated. For entrees we got the wagyu steak, bucatini pasta, and saffron spaghetti. The appetizers and entrees were all delicious. I get steak every time I go out and am mostly disappointed. This steak was cooked perfectly- so tender, and the flavor amazing. Very Unique dishes and ingredients that are all very fresh and tasty. The apple icecream desert was delicious. Again the service was awesome and I really appreciate how patient they were with us being the last table and they’re pretty late. I would go back when I’m back in the area.

I love the food here, they are exquisite and flavorful. But the portions were too small. My husband and I were given a seat near the restrooms, we saw that there were still plenty of empty seats in the restaurant and tried to switch to the seat next to us (which belonged to the same waiter) but he was denied, not sure why. Other than that little hiccup, everything else was fine, the waiters were very good at keeping up with the pace of the food and didn't keep us waiting too long even though they were busy. will back again!

OMG...great combination of flavors, ingredients and sauces..their gnocchi is the finest I've had..better than Vetri and great drink menu..unique items not found on many menus..and the best dessert icev ever had..and I've eaten in the top restaurants in NY..their olive oil cake with lime curd and yuzu semifreddo with Thai basil gremolata and meringue wafer cookie..heavenly...the flavors and textures simply mind blowing ..will be back..tasted so many utems..not many others to choose from when I return .the only negative..add some nightly specials possibly for more variety for those who want to frequent more often.
