This was my first visit. Sushi is delivered on two separate conveyor belts. You can select already prepared sushi from one conveyor belt or order what want from an automated menu. Your order is afterwards delivered in a second conveyor belt. The scallop was good as was the salmon though not exceptional. The tuna and eel were delicious. I was told that if you visit on Fridays or weekends, expect a long wait and best times to visit are Monday thru Thursday and preferably during the day. You can also use their app to request a table.
Fun eating experience. Do not expect authentic or fresh Japanese sushi because the selling point is efficiency and fun. Vegetarian options: There are vegetarian options
Kura feels designed for sushi beginners, or an Americanized version of the model in Japan. They bring over the novelty and convenience of conveyor belts and iPads while creating a menu that is more palatable for someone who’s a bit fish-averse. They have a good spread of typical sushi pieces and hot items, but they have bonus tuna, salmon, and cooked sushi pieces. By adding a sear, sauce, or oil, they introduce a new way to eat the same meat, many of which are already cooked. I think it’s nice but their fish quality at the end of the day is mid and could see some improvement. Their service is good.
The tables were really dirty. I used some disinfectant wipes to clean the table, and all 3 wipes turned brown color.
