After driving past this place for years we finally decided to give it a try. Initial impressions of the decor were positive. It was warm and inviting. There was plenty of room between tables and the chairs were comfortable. However, the napkins and things stacked in the NW corner of the dining area need to be cleaned up. That makes it look unkept and messy. We ordered sodas and they arrived promptly. The soda was properly mixed and they tasted good with good carbonation. But after she dropped the sodas off it was at least 10 or 15 minutes before our server returned to take our order. From that point forward, we had to track her down for everything. We were the only table on the N end of the dining area and she was spending all her time on the S side by the bar. So unless we stood up and got her attention she didn't come by. Okay, what about the food? The rice, filet and veggies were all pretty good. The coconut shrimp appetizer was a major fail. The shrimp were cooked to death and it was like chewing on a piece of rubber. The part that really ruined the whole meal as the salmon. It smelled like stinky fish. Salmon isn't supposed to smell like fish. It's clear that it was not fresh by any means. The smell of the salmon at the table was disgusting it caused us both to lose our appetite. For a place that serves sushi it's not a good idea to serve seafood that smells so bad. I have no plans on returning. For the price they charge they should have done much better. There are just too many other places that do a much better job and charge much less.
The filet was alright, but not a 30 dollar meal at all. There was literally a water leak pouring from a sagging spot in the ceiling we had to listen to the entire time. The plates and bowls were pretty at least, but that was about the highlight of the dinner.
I love this place. The lunch specials are a great value. The can make the sushi with brown rice at request which is great since I don’t eat white rice. I wish they had not removed the teppanyaki grills. When they had them we enjoyed taking our kid to watch the show. When I dine at the bar the sushi chef always gives me some sort of extra treat to sample. He also has some very beautiful plating. He makes a $10 lunch special look like a $100 plate at a 5 star restaurant. Dietary restrictions: Brown Rice upon request.
I thought they would cook in front of us, that didn’t happen. But the service was awesome and the food was excellent. Good place to go for traditional sushi and some wacky roles. Cheaper than Icon Sushi (our favorite sushi place) Might change from night to night but they played 90 soft rap and R&B. Super fun anniversary dinner
Shrimp over cooked , steak no taste and tough
They no longer have real Hibachi cooked in front of you at the table. Everything is now cooked in the back kitchen including the Hibachi menu. The food use to be good BUT if you looking for the FULL Hibachi experience you need to go elsewhere.
Really love this place, we go here quite a lot. I have enjoyed everything t I have tried, including their pad thai. The service is generally good and everyone is super friendly. That said, we’ve noticed that the sushi tends to take quite a bit longer to be served versus any other food like fried rice, etc. I also noticed this difference in delivery time when ordering sushi from them through Uber Eats. To date we have only ever seen one gentleman making sushi, so maybe that’s why. Dude is probably exhausted! It’s also on the chilly side inside the restaurant, which I love, but my spouse who is always cold because of taking blood thinners always brings a sweater.
