King Street Oyster Bar

This is the BEST happy hour in DC! The staff made it the most excellent— especially JP at the bar and Lilo, they were fantastic. I come here often for happy hour but was so impressed by the service I received today. I’ll definitely be back!

Great food. Oysters were fresh and very tasty.

we waited 20 minutes outside for a server to come and give us water (no cups)/silverware and to take our orders. when the food came we still didn’t have silverware. every time we ordered a drink or food item they sent it to the wrong table. one of the waiters spilled two shots and a long island ice tea on us breaking a glass by our feet and spilling drink on our clothes. they didn’t even offer to take anything off our bill for that. they charge 20 percent gratuity and don’t bother about giving good service. really disappointing

Jp is a very rude bartender, and argues with guest, he was the precursor to a very bad experience that I had there. He ushered his friends over to take seats at the bar which I was waiting for. He gave the restaurant a very ghetto low class look. Food is good service is atrocious.

Food was good; which makes it hard to write this review.... But the environment is not safe. Very young crowd. And the waiter was extremely rude. Never Again!!

Had an incredible experience here! Bartenders were particularly hospitable and friendly. Food was a treat. Definitely will keep returning!

Erika's energy was contagious! My friend has been going through a lot so I took her out for happy hour and Erika's energy was so enthusiastic and encouraging. She stuck to the rules of the restaurant while still giving 5 star service. Even checked on us constantly while being swamped with other tables. Please keep hiring folks like her!
