I bought cherries and was told when I questioned where they came from that they came from their orchard in Osoyoos.I don't believe this because there was no BC sticker applied to the cherries nor on the bag they were sold in.
I'm of the belief that these cherries came from the US and this market is lieing about they origin and are misleading the public.
Terrible business practice so be aware and demand to see the BC sticker that should be visible on any fruits sold at fruit markets.
Last week I saw a sign saying they had some Haskap berries (my favorite) so the following day I drove back and picked some up. Unfortunately the product was terrible. It looked like it had been frozen, half the berries were split open and were way over ripe so I had to throw half away. At $14.00 for a medium container a total waste of money.
I gave the second carton to a friend and she had exactly the same comments.
Obviously it's too early in the season and I should have known better ... some of the other produce also left a lot to be desired (strawberries the size of raspberries) so I don't think I'll be back anytime soon.
I like going there for the food. The vegan vegetable samosa were very good and authentic. I hope they use sustainable take out containers. The people that work there are friendly too!
It was the beginning of the season, not much selection on the fresh fruit. They had a wide variety of preserves. The was a small cafe with limited food offerings. Smelled really good.
Wonderful spot! Such an amazing selection with such friendly service!
BEST SAMOSA I’ve ever had!!! Friendly staff too!
