Tasty food. Generous portions. Friendly staff.
Great for take out. Friendly staff. Great eggs Benedict and crispy hash browns as requested.
I have been coming here for many years and have always been pretty happy with the food. Mind you, it has been a year or so since I have eaten here. Today I came in and ordered Eggs Benedict. It arrived quickly , as usual but, mind you, there weren't many diners at the time. The first 2 bites of egg were all egg shells. I turned the egg around and tried the other side and took a small bite and it was full of shells as well. The sever came by to see how it was and a I told her it was full of egg shells and that is why I wasn't eating it. She asked if I wanted something else and I said no. If a cook is making a poached egg and can't tell they left that much shell in it, I don't want to chance it happening again. I hold egg shell in the same regard as hair in my food. I only ate the side of hash browns. 10 minutes later the other server came by and dropped off my check and they were charging me for the whole thing even though I only took three bites. Telling the server about my poorly made food was not enough to have her make it right and only charge me for a side of hash browns. So unfortunate. I can't believe they didn't adjust my bill. Be warned they don't care about quality or if the customer is satisfied. I will not be eating here ever again.
Kay's is a breakfast Gem quietly brewing some of the best coffee, tea, bacon and eggs around all of St Pete. The service with Bailee and Brooke was flawless with a pleasant warmth and efficiency. Can't wait to go back for pancakes.
This is a go-to plate of a friend of mine so we were in a fairly large group. The restaurant has limited seating for large groups so was a bit tight. No big deal there. The service was excellent, food arrived promptly and on point for all of us. I ordered the the Texas French Toast and was dismayed at the small portion of French toast. The bacon and eggs were perfect. Don't call it Texas Toast when it comes in the size of New Hampshire. Just saying. Give the customers tiger sized toast so they felt like they got their money's worth. Next problem was the grapefruit juice. I got grapefruit cocktail and the waitress honestly didn't know the difference (I have to admit, grapefruit juice is not a common order - many diners don't even have it). I simply said "I'm telling you, so that you know that for the next person who orders".
Great experience! I went in shortly after they opened. I got my coffee quickly, and after reading the menu selected the Eggs Benedict. It was cooked perfectly, the home style potatoes were delicious as well! Great service and clean on the inside!
Wonderful food, portions are huge! Family owned atmosphere and really relaxed. Will be returning when in the area!
