Kai Vietnamese Cuisine

Really good food. This is the 3x I've been here, and every time I get something new, it is definitely delicious. The Pho is phenomenal and the garlic butter fried chicken wings off the charts. The spring rolls are legit as well. Great Peanut Sauce Vegetarian options: Anything you can think of you can vegetarian.

Kai is always consistently a great place for Vietnamese food! The atmosphere of the restaurant is super cozy, and the staff are incredibly nice and helpful when it comes to explaining some of the dishes they have. I have been talked into trying a lot of different things that I now love here based on their recommendations, I can’t say enough about how great this family-owned restaurant is!

I wish I had taken photos of our food but we were starved and dug right in. Kai is a downtown haven for some of Tulsa’s best Vietnamese food. We shared the steamed dumplings, Vietnamese egg rolls, and Pho Sate. The dumplings were so flavorful, tender and the dipping sauce was delish. I especially like the crispy garlic on top. The eggrolls have this distinctly tender filling with uber crispy exterior. I could have eaten ten. And the pho was exceptional - brothy but creamy and spicy. The beef was super tender. Everything tasted super fresh and hand made. I always forget about this gem and I can’t wait to come back! Parking: If you enter the lot next door from Denver, you get a ticket and it’s validated to park there as a visitor. Free as long as there are open spots.

Chicken Bao was amazing! But the Flat Rice Noodle were the worst I've had in a long time. The meat tasted like it was boiled and the veggies & noodles were way over-done. Each time I'd pull out a bit, the noodles & veggies would mush & break off like I was eating a microwave dinner cooked too long. And to top it off, there was nothing in way of taste.

I rarely give a 5* rating, when I do, it is almost like Jesus walked on water! This family, their parents, established “Viet Huong” back in the old days and that restaurant was a beacon that almost single handedly introduce Vietnamese foods to Tulsan! Today, the traditions carry on in Kai Vietnamese Cuisine! I tried the wonton noddle soup and WOW! The portion is about as big as our Okie belly and belt! I will be back for the crispy noodle and stir fried! Carry on girls! Very proud of you! Vegetarian options: If not on menu, please do ask!
