I absolutely love the food here! I get the classic Benedict almost weekly before work. I was unaware there was a policy that I’d have to pay over the phone to call in my order as I’ve done so before. As a server I typically only have cash on me and called my order in as I’ve done before and was told I must pay or they couldn’t submit the order. Extremely disappointing as I look forward to my Monday treat before my day job. I do understand the reasoning for the policy but when I’ve done it recently and told I can’t two weeks later was pretty disappointing.

Good sandwich and atmosphere. Wait staff seemed overwhelmed. I will visit again. Scapple, egg & cheese sandwich. Today's, 8 months after my review that received thousands of looks, I went back to J's Diner. This visit was totally different, the staff was still on point, the food wasn't. Steak and eggs, over cooked and the Mexican sweet corn hash, eggs overcooked. Gotta take the good and the bad. And they offered me a free cinnamon roll for the experience. WOW! Let me ask you all, cinnamon rolls for a "less than" experience. Just saying.

Service was slow, they say they are gluten free and have options for people with allergies but never seem to be in stock of said options. Our waitress was frantic, did not know the menu, and forgot several important things, especially when it came to the allergy options. A table sat after us was served before us as well as finished thier meal before our food even arrived. I had to repeat my order to my waitress, because she did not have it written down. All in all, I am usually lenient about service at restaurants, because I know it's stressful, but this was one thing after another, and made the experience a 1/10 for me.

Allison was very nice and professional. I had the avocado toast with Pico de Gallo, picked onions and feta cheese, and two poached eggs on the side. Let me tell you something, this was something special. Eat here.
