Johnny's New York Style Pizza

They have gotten much better over the last year. Pizza has been much better

Lunch pizza, wonderful as always. The sweet tea was spot on, as usual.

I love pizza, especially new york style so had to try this on way through area. Kayla was so nice and answered any questions we had. She was very nice and we enjoyed the food very much! So many different options to choose from. We had pizza and a salad and both were great!

Ordered delivery, it took a REALLY long time and when it finally showed up the pizza was actually cold… not WARM.. COLD. Ordered pasta too, it was also so cold that the cheese was already hard…

Stromboli should not be À LA CARTE, and it’s also shaped like a CRESCENT, both features this native NY never saw before. The baseline mozzarella tasted good (tasty bread, sauce, cheese) but it was very small for the price. So I don’t see value here and would have been better off ordering a pizza rather than leaving the table still unsatisfied, still hungry. My friend offered me a slice of his pizza. It lacked cheese on top and the bread was basically tasteless (underdeveloped dough). I know since I bake bread/pizza at home. I didn’t detect any Parmesan cheese at all, so this was lacking NY style as well. His pizza however was a descent size for the price, so even though the taste was nothing special, at least it offered some value. The service was excellent and the atmosphere family oriented and relaxed. I would suggest that Johnny’s take a hard critical look at their pizza and associated offerings and consider improving the quality and possibly size, and if needed raise prices. If I lived near here I would not be a returning customer since it appears to have become another run of the mill pizza joint from the first couple of times I visited when in town the last few years.

Hadn't been to Johnny's in over 10 years and it was delicious as usual.

Service was great, friendly server, nice and polite. I ordered a salad and slice of pizza. She substituted a Greek salad for $1 more which was well worth spending. The salad was a great delight, crisp and fresh all of the olives, and wonderful cheese simply made to perfection. The pizza slice was tasty, although when it says New York style, and you are expecting a New York style it is a little disappointing. Thin crust baked to perfection, the sauce had great flavor, butttt the cheese was very minimal. I worked in New York and the pizza there is to die for ...the cheese is plentiful really plentiful melted and and boasting with flavor..that is what I was expecting ... Maybe I won't be expecting that next time. The slice was good but just a little disappointed.
