I’ve heard about Javier’s for years, but I never stepped into the restaurant until tonight. I understand why this restaurant is talked about so much. The experience was absolutely fantastic, and it’s one of my favorite restaurants now. This is a restaurant you can spend hours in. The atmosphere of this restaurant is incredible. The plants, fires, ropes, etc and entire decor of this restaurant is gorgeous. It makes me feel like I’m on an island somewhere or just in a different country, with different culture. The music selection is great, and the food was absolutely fantastic! I recommend getting the Sabor A Provincia, and the fried ice cream! It was absolutely delicious, and the servers were so attentive, and nice. I can’t wait to go back, such a joy!
Located inside the Irvine spectrum, Javier's is an upscale restaurant and bar that has always been fun, elegant, modern, with a splash of "hipness" The decor is completely nice and intriguing. The food is excellent, but a but pricy, however, the drinks will completely satisfy your taste buds. Now, I would have given this location a 4.5 But my visit only earned it a 3.5 to 3.75. One, the reception area was courteous but not attentive I felt that we were just numbers to them, and waiting 45 min to be seated at around 930pm and after seemed a bit long. Second, I felt that walking through the prep area/ kitchen to be seated was not very professional. However, the layout didn't allow for other paths. Lastly, our server , as nice as she was, seemed a bit distracted, and we felt our service was impersonal . The location is superb for first dates , excellent for get togethers.
Food was great, it's definitely a more elevated version of Mexican food, the beans were a bit dry but still good, plenty of fresh seafood choices, and amazing steak, everything is clean and nice inside, the service was excellent bringing plenty of chips and water, the only thing is that it was definitely overpriced but I would go again
I recently had the displeasure of dining at Javier's and experienced two highly disappointing incidents that left me with a sour taste in my mouth, both literally and figuratively. First and foremost, not once, but twice, my steak arrived at the table completely cold. I understand that mistakes happen in the kitchen, but to have the same error occur on two separate occasions is simply unacceptable. Paying a premium price for a steak should guarantee a quality, hot meal, but sadly, this was not the case at this restaurant. To make matters worse, the waiter's behavior after the second cold steak incident only added insult to injury. Rather than acknowledging the issue and attempting to rectify it, the waiter resorted to begging for a tip. This display of desperation was incredibly unprofessional and left me feeling uncomfortable and disrespected as a customer. Instead of addressing the problem at hand, the waiter's focus seemed to be solely on financial gain, regardless of the quality of service provided. It is disappointing to witness such a lack of integrity and professionalism, especially in an establishment that prides itself on offering a fine dining experience. The overall dining experience at Javier's was marred by these issues, and I left feeling incredibly dissatisfied. As a paying customer, I expect a certain level of competence and professionalism from the staff, as well as a well-prepared, hot meal. Regrettably, I received neither during my visit. I would caution potential diners to reconsider their choice of Javier's until these issues are addressed and resolved. In a fiercely competitive industry, it is crucial for an establishment to prioritize customer satisfaction and maintain the quality of their offerings. Unfortunately, my experience fell far short of these expectations.
We have visited Las Vegas twice for Javier’s and now Irvine! Same top notch quality service and food you expect! Every dish they serve is delicious! Enchiladas and carnitas are excellent!
