Prices have gone way up. A Bacon Sourdough Jack, onion rings, and a soda for nearly $15. The onion rings were over cooked and the onions inside were papery and tough. One recurring theme at JIB is that the "grilled" sourdough is more toasted then actually grilled. This makes the sandwich much drier and is not what is advertised. This also applies to the breakfast sandwiches that advertise grilled sourdough. My guess is that it is faster in the kitchen to just toast it, or use an imperceptible amount of butter so it cooks more quickly. It is a training/attention to detail issue. I would give fewer than 2 stars, but it's a fast food restaurant, so my expectations are lowered going in, even though this meal costs as much as a meal at a sit down, casual restaurant (Applebee's or Chili's, for example).
