J. Rieger & Co.

Established in 1887 by Austrian-Hungarian immigrant Jacob Rieger, J. Rieger & Co. grew to be the largest mail-order whiskey purveyor in the world. The distillery was shut down by Prohibition, only to be reborn in 2014 when our co-founders, including the great-great-great-grandson of Jacob Rieger, resurrected the brand. Today we provide award-winning spirits, innovative cocktails, and memorable experiences to our guests at our historic distillery in Kansas City’s Electric Park District. And our spirits, including bottled in bond whiskeys, vodka, midwestern dry gin, caffè amaro, and the category-redefining Kansas City Whiskey, can be found in bars and restaurants across the country and around the world.
