Islands Restaurant Avondale

I got the slider burgers appetizer, they were so good. And chicken tortilla soup which was also super good. I think they make their own seasoned tortilla strips for the soup. I cant wait to try a real full size burger sometime.

I’ve went to this location before and it was great but we went on valentines and it was the worst experience ever . The waitress was almost no where to be found and I was very understanding but then she brought us a see through coke and it took forever to tell her that there was no syrup in it . Then I was like ok it’s busy , but then I received my salad and all the lettuce was brown !!!!! And when I showed the waitress she was like yeah I wouldn’t even eat that I noticed it before I brought it out , then I ordered a carnitas bowl and they brought me chicken and I just kept my mouth shut and asked for the check and she walked passed my table with my change in her hand like five times before she finally came and gave it to us. To make matters worse the bowl was disgusting and I ended up vomiting after because some of it was raw. And my daughters fries were horrible and cold.

Waiter was outstanding

Ordered a med rare buger came to the table black and as hard as a hockey puck the fries were not cooked all the way through the drink was burnt and the bill had 5 burgers on it that we did not order. Will never go back.
