2 stars is the aggregate. I visited last week and waited in the lobby for someone to hand me my online order for nearly 20 minutes. I had to wait for the loud music to go on a break for my shouts to be heard. In the meantime, 5 other customers were now waiting by the time I FINALLY got my order. The order was made correctly and was hot. All combined they scored a 46.7% on the satisfaction scale on presentation and taste of the order alone. It's not for me but maybe it's for someone else. The score is so close to 50% that the service you get will be a toss-up.

When looking for ice cream near Chinatown in downtown Washington, insomnia cookies hits the spot. Warm moist cookies with delicious ice cream.

i’m leaving 5 stars not because the cookies or the ice cream was amazing, but for the young man who took my order. it was super busy and crowded in there and i could tell he was overwhelmed so i was understanding. my boyfriend and i ordered and he was very quick with everything we got. i went to pay and he told me not to worry about it. he was very polite and i hope his kindness is recognized. thank you to whoever you were, you made my night.

Not as cleanas I would like. The service was nothing special. We had to wait, while being the only customers in the place for a sample of ice scream. They wanted to wipe the class first. It was not terrible but not good either.

Cookies are good, but they consistently send the wrong cookies when I order. They also only send part of the order. It makes me sad to get regular chocolate chip every single time I order double chocolate chip. It must be the same person unable to decipher the difference :(
