The ABSOLUTE BEST I come every year, sometimes twice a year for the food OXTAILS
The food was amazing! All of the sides were spectacular! If you want good soul food and want to be put into a food coma afterwards, then you can't beat this place! Highly recommend!
It’s the attitude from me i just had to call back twice just tryna order my meat loaf after the lady hung up n my face
$35 for two sides and 1 entree was a bit expensive if I would’ve known the price probably would’ve went another direction. The food didn’t have any seasoning like the price needs to match the taste of the meal.
I'm sorry to say, but this wasn't it for me. I suggested this place for my family who were in town for the weekend and had to apologize for my choice. I do not mind spending good money on good food. But this food is too expensive to taste like this. The green beans are from a can. The yams tasted boiled and never baked with no brown sugar, vanilla or nutmeg (or any type of spice). The Mac n cheese was watery and seemed made with that canned cheese and did not seem baked at all. The ribs have never touched a grill or smoker. My uncle said the meatloaf was ok. My aunt didn't eat more than one bite of the sweet potato pie. The Kool-aid was perfect though. The portions are huge but the flavor was missing for me.
My best friend and I came here yesterday early afternoon and we got the oxtails, Mac & cheese and cabbage. The oxtails that we received was all fat, the gravy did not taste good at all, the macaroni was so watery like it came from a can. The cabbage was decent but only with hot sauce. I would not recommend coming here. And it’s overly priced. They have way better soul food restaurants in the area than this place.
