Had a reservation for 13 guests on a Sunday morning. Very cute entrance and interior. Brunch menu and drink options. Service was kind of spotty and slow. Food did take a long time to come out, but all our meals were really good. Enjoyed the Fried Chicken Sandwich with Fries + Chilaquiles with Red Sauce (kind of tasted like pasta/red pepper sauce). Would recommend for a semi-casual brunch. Vegetarian options: Avocado Toast, Eggs, French Toast, Salad
Good food, nice wine list. The room had a good vibe (not too noisy). Very enjoyable.
H&L is worth the visit! This place was amazing from the food to the service and the atmosphere. We cannot wait to come back and try the dinner menu. The avocado toast was the best I have ever had. Be sure to try the homemade ginger beer!
The oxtail bolognese had me feeling like I was in heaven. Amazing service as always.
I want to start off saying our service was not bad or rude, only that we seemed a little forgotten on the back patio even though it seemed to be a slow day. Thankfully, we had roaring heaters, which did keep us toasty. The patio decor and plants also looked well taken care of, but the bathroom definitely needed to be checked on more often. The mens room was pretty grimey. The menu had some great potential but left us wanting on portion size, especially when it came to 8 dollars for three petite biscuits and butter to share. The cocktails were VERY good, but the potato pork belly bowl was very underwhelming with two under seasoned eggs, lots of interesting sauce and very small bits of pork strewn about and no salt or pepper on the table to adjust it to our taste. Our friend also commented that their dish sounded better than it tasted. All in all, we would probably come back for drinks and try different menu items for a second opinion.
Delicious kale Caesar, broccolini, and Pinot Noir. Dog friendly patio with heaters!
