Holiday Inn Rotherham-Sheffield M1,JCT.33, an IHG Hotel

The staff were absolutely great and for me that's always a huge plus. We had breakfast in the morning and it wasn't bad either with a generous spread to choose from. The rooms I would recommend need updating decor-wise. I would refrain from going into much detail on that front as my concerns are mainly around aesthetics. We would visit again.

Our visit was a 2 night 3 day stay, for a conference. The Peter Elliott room was great, plenty of room. Constant drinks and refreshments at various points. Our room was clean, and the beds were comfortable. The bathroom ceiling needed a couple of minor repairs and a pain. The shower was hot, and there was good water pressure. The restaurant and bar staff were attentive and helpful. Good choice of food. My recommendation is for, in my opinion, the best Caesar salad, made correctly with baby gem, not mixed leaves. The bar staff now know how to make a naked tea (boiled water). I'm looking forward to next year's conference. Rooms: Well laid out rooms. Our bathroom needed some minor repairs. Did not spoil the stay Nearby activities: 5 minutes from Meadowhall and Magma Safety: Disabled access and accessible rooms. For easy and safety, there is a need to move disabled parking bays to be by the ramp. Food & drinks: Really enjoyed the food. Good selection both in the bar and restaurant. Our conference menu was awesome 3 choices, and they catered for food allergies and intolerance.

A nice end to the holiday half way from home. You cant beat the holiday inn for service and friendliness. IHG resorts doing what they do to a high standard every time and if they ever don’t Ill let the team know! Rooms fresh, pool gym all in good condition. Thank you for another relaxing experience. Its also the little touches having the fold out bed ready when we arrived in our nice big room. Especially when you have two going on teenagers on long journeys from the car to the hotel! Rooms: Spacious clean, like the green led light in the bathroom nice touch. Super hot powerful shower everytime! Food & drinks: Great breakfast plenty of choice for all tastes and allergies.

We spent three nights, in the hotel.We didn't have any problems.The room was clean, buffet breakfast. We got a ground floor room, there was no noise at night. The staff was very nice. At breakfast, some people in the restaurant behaved disgustingly. It wouldn't hurt to learn a little culture. So this is a three-star hotel, if you want better service, go to a five-star luxury hotel.

Can’t fault this holiday inn at all - large clean room and brilliant staff who were really kind to our kids. Excellent value and my kids loved the pool and the kids breakfast!

I stay in a lot of hotels for work so I always use IHG points to stay away for a few days. I have to say this is one of the best hotels I have stayed in. The staff were so helpful from reception to bar staff and housekeeping, nothing was too much trouble. The only thing that could be different was where our room was located, we took our dog with us but we were put on the second floor. There is an offer on at the moment for 3 for £22 on food, I'm a starter kind of person so asked if I could have 2 starters instead of a pudding which was no problem at all as it isn't stipulated what meals you could have, so in actual fact you could have 3 mains for £22. The food is delicious and hot. The hotel is situated nicely and it's only a short drive away from Lady Bowers Reservoir which is a beautiful walk and another 15 minutes drive you are in Bakewell. Would I stay here again - Absofrickinlutely!

Attended for a conference. Two fire alarms. Meals that weren't as advertised on menu, one not provided! Despite waiting almost 2 hours! Manager didn't seem to know how to manage! No checks on allergies. Food & drinks: See previous post
