Holiday Inn Cambridge

Been to many holiday inns, this one was by far the nicest, a pool? Gym? And playground/outdoor area. The rooms are semi decent, the room I stayed in could’ve used and upgrade, because I had the house keeping tell me it was old, if so, then they need to make sure that the give it a good scrub each time. I have been to Nicer holiday inn rooms but honestly I was just here for Cambridge. But overall quite pleasant.

Check in was smooth and quick, my room was on the first floor. I had a nice size clean room with fresh soft white linen sheets & a lovely comfy mattress & nice pillows = nice a sleep . Nice bath room with a full size bath and powerful shower shampoo and shower gel was by Dove ️ In a cupboard by the main entrance door was an ironing board with iron and a rare thing now days a trouser press with plenty of hanging space for your clothes. The main room had a 2 seater sofa and a nice writing desk with lamp ️ and an office chair,plenty of power sockets around the room but No usb charging points. I tried the air-conditioning and it worked just fine. A hairdryer was found in a drawer below where the the kettle tea & coffee making tray was. Tea was by twinings and coffee was by nescafe, & the milk was long life. Overall everything worked in the room & nothing was broken. In the evening I went to checkout the bar and had a beer (£6) & looked at the menu,with a burger costing £18+ or something like that I passed on the menu and return my room. I enjoyed my stay but I would have liked to have checked out the pool but I didn't have time to

We recently stayed at this hotel for the weekend and we had a fantastic experience. The rooms, food, pool experience everything was amazing. Highly recommended

Quiet suburban setting about 4 miles from the city centre. An easy £10-14 uber ride. Easy access from the motorway. Ample easy parking. Stylish modern reception and bar area. Pleasant open courtyard with kids play area. Standard Holiday Inn standard rooms but some are more modern than others. Food is pretty good if a little expensive. All the staff I met were efficient and friendly.

I was told at reception I did not have to pay for parking but later received a £100 fine. I appealed to the parking company but appeal rejected as they do not recognise my Platinum status and stated all need to pay. Contacted the hotel but they are silent on the matter. I note from other reviews I am not alone in being duped by the hotel about parking.
