Great location and breakfasts (although, as in most hotels these days, not cooked to order). Fast lifts, lovely decor, sightseeing bus stop outside front door. Sadly nowhere to sit outside.

Two nights in the excellent hotel. The staff were great, the room was spotless, the location brilliant. Took the option to upgrade and used the executive lounge. The young lady who was monitoring it and placing the food (which was great) was just right, helpful and polite and nothing seemed to be too much. Thank you! Rooms: Spotlessly clean, and comfortable, only downside was street was a bit noisy in the night with folk returning from bars…. Nearby activities: Apart from the fitzwilliam museum the smaller archaeological museum literally across the road is not to be missed Walkability: Just a short walk to the Fitzwilliam museum, only a matter of yards to John Lewis and many bars and restaurants. Food & drinks: Breakfast was plentiful and varied and good quality.

Just okay for a business trip. Rooms: The "King" room is a pretty standard no-thrills hotel room. Clean. Comfortable bedding. But I found it too dark even with all the lights on. The aircon was too noisy + a corporate party in the hotel bar area downstairs had loud music during late hours. Standard WiFi is not too bad, works with VPN. Walkability: Superb location right within the old town area. Food & drinks: Breakfast was excellent — lots of choices and good service. Noteworthy details: A digital key to unlock the room with a phone is an excellent idea — no need to queue at the reception during check-in or check-out. The ability to select a specific room on a digital map of the hotel is a brilliant feature.

In a country/continent full of tiny rooms and small beds, this property stands out, as what I (American) expect when I book a hotel room. Of note, I had to call to confirm before my travels, each room does come with a hair dryer and an iron for wrinkled clothes. As noted, beds were (I believe) Full x2. I had a coffee/tea station, closet with hangers, TV, desk, desk chair and additional armchair, full size mirror…all things I’m used to having standard here, but are hot or miss when I travel abroad. Rooms: Very American - large and standard amenities Nearby activities: Most activities in Cambridge are nearby. Plenty of restaurants, theater, museum/s, mall, churches… Walkability: The walk from the rail station is a bit far, ~1 mile, but there are so many restaurants and shops much closer. Food & drinks: Breakfast and lunch in The restaurant (buffet) were great and different all 3 days I was there.
