The Hilltop was 74 years old in July 2022! Hilltop was built in 1948 by Violet Mercer Anderson. The original menu had only three meat choices-ham, fried chicken, and steak. Linen tablecloths and glass water goblets were used. The waitstaff wore long white dresses and white dress shirts with bow ties. Many proms and special events were held at HT in the 1950's. Over the years it has been owned by several husband and wife teams, and is now owned by Dennis and Chris Grubb. They have expanded the menu and cook the "old school" way.
