I have been eating here for over 25 years. Authentic. While it appears to not be as trendy as some of the more recent additions to the market, I can assure you, this is the best place to eat down here. Little old couple runs it and it is like eating at a little restaurant in Vietnam. Don’t go here if you don’t know what authentic Vietnamese food is.
Took 40mins to get food. The food was meh and then theu charge a mandatory tip (small print in menu). Would absolutely avoid it this place
Wow, flavor 10/10! I was a bit nervous because the dish I ordered didn’t look super pretty, but it was absolutely delicious. It was a pan-fried pork dish over rice (#35) that had a fresh lime zest along with egg, some shredded veggies, and a teriyaki-type side sauce. The umami, salty, tangy, and hint of sweet-spice flavors hit the spot.
I’ve been going to this restaurant all my life we started going when I was 5 and now I’m in my late 30’s. My most favorite is the spring rolls and the egg roll bowl. Anytime I’m downtown that’s my go to.
I’ve been coming to this place one a year since i’ve been here in the US and the plants around it has grown over time, the quality of food and fast service has not changed. There has been a lot of pho places around that emerged with nice furniture and decors but this place is as authentic as you can get. They should be awarded for staying in business this long. Parking: Parking during the weekends is harder since there are more people going to the farmer’s market and around.
I went here on a Sunday evening and it was nice and quiet just how I like it! I got Hu Tieu with seafood! I ordered 2 pho dac biet to go! I like their selection of items on the menu. I’ll be back to try other dishes!
Very horrible service. After waiting for someone to finally come to the front, I was told that they only sold cold egg rolls and that I needed to look at the menu to figure out what I wanted. I walked across the street to a Thai place and was served immediately and the food was wonderful. Do not waste your time here!
Price too high and the food is not worth it. Portions are small and the rice is soggy. Bad service overall. And the lady pointed at the bill to commands me for a tip.
One of my favorite restaurants in KC. The crab Rangoon is easily the best I’ve ever had!! Everything is very reasonably priced and has generous portions.
