This is a hidden gem! Not only is the food good, they also have a large selection of goods. Highly recommend!!!

Definitely one of the better BBQ spots in Houston which I feel are far and few between compared to Austin never been disappointed with anything I've ordered here.

Had a great time experience eating at this family owned restaurant. The BBQ was an excellent, sides were good, and the family atmosphere made it worth the visit. They were out of potatoes which was disappointing, but they went above and beyond to make it up and we did show up towards closing so I can understand being out. I highly recommend you try this place and support a locally owned family restaurant. Great service! We will be back for sure!

Love this place! Great service, friendly staff and a good vibe. The food is very good and you definitely want to try the pecan tart, out of this world!

H&K is the real deal for Q in HTX! From the comfy corner store neighborhood vibe to the excellent service to the moist and smokey meats to the local sourced products, it’s really a destination meal. Even though we arrived near closing time the meats we enjoyed were moist and juicy (the brisket came in off the pit), not end-of-day leftovers. The sides were very flavorful with great seasoning and large portions. Counter and service staff were pleasant and informative (family members?). And the basket full of local products we picked up were unique and reasonable. Don’t rush your visit to H&K…take a trip back to the slower days and enjoy the vibe then do some shopping while you pat your belly.

Overall aesthetic has a nostalgic feeling and really gives the history of Sixth Ward. Wonderfully ran and well kept 👌🏾

Food(brisket, sausage, turkey, frito pie) had good flavor, but everything was cold.

We were stuck in traffic close by, googled for good nearby barbecue and this place showed up. It did not disappoint! Very good service and very tasty barbecue😊

EXCELLENT!!!!!.....Friendly counter service and delicious barbecue. The Brisket was the best I have had, incredible bark, juicy and tender. The ribs were not on the same level as the brisket, they were good but not great and definitely needed to be served hotter. The creamed corn and the coleslaw were both 10s and the free pickles, jalapenos and onions were a welcomed touch to cut through the richness of the meal. Highly recommend, can't wait to go back, woke up thinking about about the brisket this morning!!

We are in Houston for the night and have been craving brisket since New Orleans. I found this place on Google and no regrets. It was delicious and would come back again! We got the brisket sandwich and a side (potato salad and the Mac and cheese).

Some of the best BBQ I’ve had in Houston. Meat is incredibly tender, flavorful, and juicy. Sides are delicious. Their full-service coffee bar is even great! Very cool vibe with the market inside and great seating outside. Perfect for a nice day!

Visiting from out of town, this place is amazing down to the music and overall vibe! Food of course is exceptional! Everything here is local we found that unique!

Had a friend come into town and we researched the best bbq in Houston and this place popped up. It did not disappoint. The food was freshly made and delivered to our table in a timely manner. This is the pit master plate and 2 large grown men are the whole thing lol. The smoked chicken was bomb! I had the brisket Mac n cheese and it was so good. I had some to bring home. This place is like a laid back country store with local products for sale. There are plenty of indoor seating areas to order your food and be served. We will definitely visit again. The banana pudding was completely homemade and on point, not out of a box. Visit here and support all your local producers.

Great BBQ and bakery. Locally source. Friendly fast service and great ambiance of a neighborhood spot. You won't regret coming here.
