Hawthorne Coffee Roasters

It was much better when there was a kitchen going. Not sure what happened but it's a good place to switch up the pace and the atmosphere is good. Music really varies and I've enjoyed all they play. The missing food menu and things like taped over prices (unlisted) make the experience feel like the customer is an afterthought. Coffee is good.

If you come here knowing what to expect, and are willing to embrace the quirks, you’ll love it. It’s an old bowling alley, the restrooms remind me of my old elementary school, and it can be kind of musty. But they take great care to make the perfect pour over, have bourbon barrel aged coffee beans and delicious cold brew, and my favorite - a Cold (Brew) Fashioned, which tastes remarkably like an old fashioned cocktail but is a coffee drink, so good.

a friend put me on to this place--they have been here eight years & I had no idea! what a cool spot. it's not too loud in here & the lighting is mellow & easy on my eyes. thank god. nice grab & go breakfast sandwiches. cold brew growlers. the pourover. sublime. will be back!!

There was plenty of seating. I had a good cup of espresso and great service!
