My mom and I came here for lunch during our first visit to Rome GA, and we were drawn in by the atmosphere and good reviews. The experience was overall underwhelming, though, despite our high hopes for the place. Chicken tenders were chewy and over-fried, salmon patties were a bit over-seasoned and had a fishy aftertaste. Black eyed pea salad was okay-- but a bit lackluster. Our favorite parts of the meal were the seasonal veggies, Mac and cheese, and Cole slaw. Our waitress was sweet and attentive. Overall, the meal was a bit disappointing for our first time in Rome.
We go on the 19th of every month for our 38 years anniversary for now cause we may not be here next.We do this every month cause the staff is very professional and the food excellent.
Food is great! I recommend the soul rolls for appetizer!
Our friend told us how much fun they had last night. So we decided to go celebrate our cousin birthday. They have a corn hole spot in the back which was awesome. Now here’s the reason I was disappointed. I was coming out the bathroom and the manager Steve comes over to say this is not a park you have to open a tab. First of all this is a restaurant with fun amenities which killed our vibe as paying customers. It felt like he was being a racist. I did not like the vibe he gave. Ashley was very sweet and took care is with our drinks. Truth be told she saved us from leaving. Thank you Ashley and the bar tenders. The fried green tomatoes were cold.
We loved all the fun decor and friendly service. They had some vegetarian options. We chose the black bean burger. It was tasty but the extra sauce helped. The side of Okra was disappointing as it was overcooked. The fries were good. The area that could use some serious work was the men’s bathroom, yuck.
Great place for young people
Hidden gem. Best ribeye steak around!
