Opened in 2013, Happyfun Hideaway, aka HAPPY, is Bushwick’s eclectic, art, dive bar that focuses on cheap fruity drinks and $4 shots… Never putting as much emphasis on fussy cocktails, as a really good time, the Happyfun bartenders are just as likely to end up your best friend as your favorite bartender… With drinks like gay juice served out of a 1950’s blow-fill poodle made into a custom cocktail tap, art and weird tchotchkes, the scene could easily place you in a John Water’s movie or a scene from Downtown 81… Though it is a perfect place to rage on weekend nights with DJ’s and dancing, the super cute backyard is just as good a place to catch up with friends, go on a first date or meet your one true love.
