After living in Germany for three years it’s difficult to find legitimate German food. Gustav’s delivers. The food was just as good as anything we had in Germany.
I had not been impressed with the food with the previous owner, so we decided to try it with the new owner. The ambience and customer service were great! The food however was a disappointment to all 3 of us. Very bland. My daughter had the meatballs with spatzle, dry and flavorless. She is a voracious eater, and only took a few bites. My spouse had the pork Jäeger Schnitzel. Though more moist than with the previous owners, still on the underwhelming side. I had the Reuben and fries, good, but not something I'd come back for. I would reccomend visiting for happy hour fondue and drinks. I've come to the conclusion that maybe German food is not for us. Not enough flavor.
Love it. Loved everything. Very happy. I've been back several times. From a vegetarian, there are options. The bier cheese fondue with the assorted breads is amazing. Potato pancakes are amazing. The creme brulee is amazing. Also loved ordering a liter of beer after I had a flight.
Expensive but the waitresses and busers are super friendly and nice as well as gorgeous. I've only eaten their once and my pork loins were tough a little too much I'd say.
Love their fondue!! Excellent!!
