Great Dane Pub & Brewing Co. - Eastside

Placed an order for pickup. They forgot the drinks. I called. She said we could come pick up the drinks or they could put it on our card. I told her it was too far to come back and we paid cash. I asked if we could put it on a card. She said no. We would have to come today or tomorrow to get the cash. Then the food was very over-salted . A disappointment in food and service.

We had an amazing experience here for my sister's 30th birthday brunch! After calling several restaurants in the Madison area and being told they can't accommodate or might not be able to accommodate a party of 20 so I emailed the Great Dane. I got a response in less than 12 hours. Their follow up was great, super quick and very clear. I asked a lot of questions and Christy the Event Coordinator never made it seem like I was annoying. When we arrived they had our tables set up for us, our server was amazing and prompt with filling drinks. She got everyone's food orders straight and made us all feel welcomed and like we weren't a bother. She also had 2 other fairly large parties so kudos to her for that. We were also able to bring in our own cake and they cute and served it for us (for a small fee but it was worth it for us to not have to do it). The food was great and came out super quick. Definitely will be coming back for larger events again and just to get a quick bite to eat!

Food is not great and service is not consistent. There were a couple of friendly/customer-oriented staff members, but most were just egregiously rude and condescending. Will not be returning.

I was a regular, and this place is always the first idea every time I want to order to go (friday fish stick is my favorite) or to hang out with my friends. But while I was doing part-time as a delivery driver, I got a very rude treatment. One of the servers basically just said she's busy, get lost, then she walk to the back and i heard her cussing and swearing about delivery drivers, just because i ask for the order that im here to pick up. The other one just completely ignored me. Very disappointed

Great Dane East (GDE). Comments directed to GDE. Wife and I stopped in during happy hour and was somewhat surprised that a pint of beer was now $5 as opposed to $4 just a few weeks ago. Had a few beers and ordered food. I had a Myan (chicken wrap) sandwich and my wife had the fish fry. Fish was poor tasting and portions were pitiful. As for the wrap, it was 90+% lettuce. Sent wrap back and received another which was only 75+% lettuce. Would not recommend the GDE, but that's just me.

If there was any other bar/restaurant any where near this place, they wouldn’t survive. It sucks. Hard.
