Food was hot, fresh, & fried well. Just needed a little bit more seasoning. Would love to try the turkey leg.
I had the 2 piece fish and 4 shrimp with fried okra for my side. The batter on the food is good, how ever there is no season on the food. The batter is seasoned but not the food. Also the price is a little high with no drinks that come with the combo plate. The fountain drink machine was not working as well.
First time eating here, the food was fresh and cooked well which was good, but for me personally it wasn’t all that great especially for $26..i’ve had better catfish, this is a bit overhyped. The service and atmosphere was the worst overall, there was only one person working which I didn’t want to make a big deal about, but the problem is the worker not at least being aware when people are walking in to pick up their orders and greeting them. When I got my my order, the worker just handed me my food and didn’t say anything. The place isn’t decorated and looks dead and empty inside even though there were some people sitting inside and the floors were sticky. Please work on the atmosphere of the place, getting more employees, and the customer service. I can’t say much else about the food since it personally didn’t wow me but everyone has different taste buds so I would at least say give it a try and then make your judgment.
The food is truly fresh and good. I tried the gumbo as well it was so tasty as well. I will be back. The owner Inez came out to talk to talk with us. She is a really nice. Great music.
Definitely a place to visit when you’re in frisco!!
Great place to have lunch or dinner.
The service was excellent.
Dee Dee and Chef Jamar provided excellent service and ensured everything was okay. I appreciate everything.
The food was good. It could use more salt though. I got the Cajun classic turkey leg. The turkey leg tasted great but the sausage inside the red beans and rice was very bland. The atmosphere seemed like they are just settling into the new location. Great music played but there is not much to look at. The customer service was good. No complaints there. I would go back to try the catfish as it looked delicious.
Definitely a good place had the Cajun chicken basket with the hush puppies definitely will give this place a 10 star in above
My wife and I tried the location in Plano. We called both locations beforehand to see if there was a wait and the phone etiquette at both locations was underwhelming, this should have been a sign of things to come but we decided to give it a try anyway. When we arrive the server did greet us immediately and was very pleasant. The dining area was not busy so I didn't think it would take too long for our order to come out but it did take around 30-35 min. When we were placing our orders we weren't told certain menu items were out until after we ordered selected them only to be told oh we're out of that. I ordered 2 piece catfish, fries, and hush puppies. My wife ordered a 6 piece fried shrimp with red beans and rice. I did like my fish, it had a nice crisp, and the hush puppies were just ok. The fries however were terrible, absolutely no crisp and undercooked. Imagine crowding a batch of frozen fries into an air fryer and cooking them for 6 minutes, fries were very light skinned. My wife's shrimp were supposed to be battered and fried but the batter did not stick to the shrimp. Her red beans and rice were very dry and had one seasoning overly used. We were there with another couple, but I won't review their food. The only thing I'll mention is that they had to get a refund for their sodas as the sodas tasted like carbonated water only. Not sure who Granny is but she'd be disappointed if she had the same experience as us. We could have caught them at a bad time, but we definitely won't be trying them in the future.
Dede is amazing the server is fantastic Dede really took care of us
