Golden Phoenix Buffet

CA$41.00 for mediocre Chinese buffet is not a bargain. Also the CC proceeding device they use forces you to tip - a minimum of 10%. I should be able to decide if I want to tip or not and not be forced to tip.

The price for two adults over $80 ,absolutely ridiculous the food was disgusting all dried up one table with people on a Friday night that should have been a red flag there ,place wasn’t very clean ,will never go back there n not recommend the place to no one

Service was the worst, the waitress did not talk.to us , offer refills or even acknowledge us, the food was terrible, never again will I give them my money

Wow, I've had a lot of bad buffets but this one tops them. Even the deep fried food is old, and don't even think about touching the dessert, it's ancient. We thought we were going to be sick. Don't waste your time or money.

For was cold, 2 servers only, food was terrible. $cost of 4 adults was $147.00!!!!

I don't think I have ever presented a 1 star rating on anything till tonight. What can I say about the Golden Phoenix? Well, I'll start with the price. For my wife, my 4 year old and I the price tax in was a $100 dollars. Now, normally if everything was exquisite I wouldn't complain to much of the price even tho a Chinese buffet charging that amount is a little outrageous! Especially the quality of food I experienced tonight. Evething I had was either burnt tasting, to salty (even for Chinese food) , or dry. With exception of the desert bar which I might say was quite tasty. But the main food... absolutely deplorable! The go to chicken Balls were dry and not made with the standard white chicken(turkey) chunks that I usually see. The noodles were burnt tasting, the fried shrimp were DOA, And would probably be considered dehydrated from being so over cooked. The place over all was dirty ,outdated, the service was non existent. Only once did someone come to our table which was to take the drink order and that's it. Not once did anyone come after so we were all still thirsty, and running out of room due to the stacks of dirty plates as we still needed to eat . So all in all I would not recommend the golden Phoenix as it's not At all a pleasant place for a family gathering. The glory days of this place are long gone and one could only hope that the owners can deliver the quality for the outrageous price.

Hot food. Lunch buffet is great value.

Don't know what the negative reviews are about. Food was fresh and piping hot.

The restaurant is showing its age. The food was hot and replenished often. The staff were friendly.
