We have never been here and I can't say enough about how fantastic this place was. It was delicious Creole food, the server was amazing, bathrooms were clean. We got the jambalaya and the blackened red fish. Cheesy grits were perfectly cooked and the haricot verts were delicious.
Cozy location, nice decor and atmosphere. The menu is enticing, but execution is hit or miss. My guest and I ordered the fried crawfish, shrimp po boy, shrimp and grits, and beignets for dessert. The appetizer was hot and crunchy. The remoulade dipping sauce was tasty and paired well. My guest enjoyed their sandwich and fries. The bread roll was especially good, and I believe they're made in-house. The shrimp and grits, and beignets were a bit of a let down. The former was presented attractively, but pretty plating won't make up for lack of flavor. Even mixing everything well, it was still bland. The grits themselves need more oomph overall. The miniature beignets were very cute, however at that size, they're not the warm, melt-in-your-mouth, pillowy delights they're supposed to be. They were hollow, crunchy and nothing but air. They were served with a warm coffee and chocolate dipping sauce that is a nice accompaniment.
