How to give life to simple gourds? This funny snail represents what the artisans are capable to do with imagination, passion and flexibility. We have a great time putting a simple gourd as the snail's shell, applying different techniques like pyrography, hand carved and polished while creating the snail's body in ceramic and painting it in a funny way. Another add to our gourd collection: a gorgeous hedgehog. Innovating with Peruvian artisans, we have developed this hedgehog, painting their body, eyes and arms and added nose and thorns, one by one in ceramic.

This ladybug is inspired in the favorite cartoon of Olguita, the daughter of one of the gourd artisans and my girls too. It was developed, using different techniques applied in the gourd, like pyrography to recreate the face, eyes and black spots, boiled in red ink for the body and using recycled tires for her legs and cute antennas.
